MG Motor India has recently launched the MG Hector Plus in India. MG Hector Plus at the time of its launch was priced at ₹13.49 lakh to ₹18.54 lakh. The company already stated that it will be an introductory offer. Thus, MG Hector Plus now observes a price hike of ₹5000 to ₹46,000 as per the variants. The price range now starts from ₹13.74 lakh while the top-spec variant now costs ₹18.69 lakh. Likewise, the Petrol Smart DCT variant now is costlier by ₹5000, while the Diesel Style variant gets a price hike of ₹46,000.

MG Hector Plus draws its power from a 1.5-litre petrol engine, 1.5-litre mild-hybrid unit, and 2.0-litre diesel engine. The 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 141bhp of power and 250Nm of torque. This petrol engine comes with two transmission options – 6-speed manual and DCT gearbox. Meanwhile, the 2.0-litre engine produces 168bhp of power and 350Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox for completing its transmission duties.

However, the features that differentiate MG Hector Plus from regular Hector is the seating layout. Meanwhile, features such as the new LED DRLs, new headlights with projector setup, body-colored bumpers and skid plates are also different from the regular Hector.

MG Motor is also offering electric parking brake, six airbags, panoramic sunroof, a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 4-way power-adjustable driver seat, 360-degree camera and the captain seats for additional comfort with the MG Hector Plus.

Meanwhile, MG Hector comes with four different variants – the Style, Super, Smart and Sharp. The color schemes on offer is the Candy White, Glaze Red, Starry Black, Burgundy Red, Aurora Silver and Starry Sky Blue.

MG Hector Plus rivals the Toyota Innova Crysta and Mahindra XUV500 in India.
