We definitely can’t just say that the brand has only customised it. In fact, the new S680 has been reworked from scratch to make it the safest of all.

To begin with, it runs on a set of Michelin PAX run-flat tyres that allows the driver to take the car to a safer place even after a puncture. As claimed by the brand, it can go over 30kms in case of such a situation. Interestingly, the carmaker has also introduced 10mm thick windshields and windows that enhance the overall protection to the next level.

Apart from everything that the regular S-Class offers, this one features a built-in oxygen tank incase there is any emergency.

For now, it is available with the brand’s 4MATIC all-wheel drive powertrain with a revised gearbox to match the power delivery according to the requirement. Interestingly, even after all these updates, the new S680 Guard weighs somewhere around 4200kgs, keeping it on the heavier side.
