Carmakers are smart enough while designing the front seats for the compact SUVs but comfort for rear passengers is something that gets compromised frequently.

As per the latest trend, several luxury car manufacturers have introduced a Limousine version of their offerings. For instance, we have already seen the A-Class with an extended wheelbase and following that trend, even Land Rover has rolled out the Range Rover Evoque L exclusively for the Chinese market.

Want to learn what it is all about? Here are the details related to the 2021 Range Rover Evoque L that you need to know.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Range Rover Evoque L has been finally launched in China.
  • It gets a longer wheelbase for added comfort at the back.
  • To be available with a 249PS, 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine.

Exterior

In terms of design, the all-new Range Rover Evoque L remains exactly the same as before but with improved length and longer rear doors. As claimed by the manufacturer the overall length of the SUV now stands at 4531mm. To be precise, it is 160mm longer when compared to the standard model.

Surprisingly, the Evoque L will be featuring three new dual-tone exterior shades including:

  • Seoul Pearl Silver with Rossello Red Roof,
  • Seoul Pearl Silver with Santorini Black Roof and
  • Belvia Green with Narvik Black Roof.

Interior

Inside the cabin, it remains similar to the updated Evoque that the brand offers in India. But just to differentiate, Range Rover has introduced a new multi-functional steering wheel along with an infotainment system that runs on the brand’s InControl OS 2.0, unlike the Pivi Pro that is available for the Indian market.

Interestingly, because of a stretched wheelbase, the rear passengers are expected to get even more legroom.

Engine & Powertrain

Since it’s only available with the R-Dynamic trim, the new Evoque L will be featuring a 249PS 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol. For transmission duties, Range Rover has engaged a 9-speed automatic gearbox with power channelled to all four wheels.

Alternatives

The Range Rover Evoque L will continue its rivalry with the Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5 and BMW X3. Want to learn more about its prime rival? Check out the BMW X3 down below.
