Firstly, Skoda has introduced the Lava Blue shade that we have already witnessed on Skoda’s premium cars including Octavia, Superb and Kodiaq. Thankfully, it suits both the special edition Slavia and Kushaq really well.

Talking about the Slavia Anniversary Edition, it is based on the Style variant, the earlier top-end variant. With the introduction of this special edition, this is now the new top-end variant. The C-pillar of Slavia now features ‘Anniversary Edition’ branding while inside the cabin, the scuff plates and similar badging on the steering wheel have also been introduced as an upgrade. The brand proudly claims that Slavia now features a massive 25.4 cm infotainment system with a 380-watt audio system for an unmatched experience.

For Kushaq, the Lava Blue Edition model has been sandwiched between the Style and Monte Carlo editions. Hence, an ‘Edition’ plate at the B-pillar can be spotted to tell everyone that this is a special edition SUV. In addition to this, a puddle lamp on each door has been introduced to project Skoda labels on the ground as soon as they are opened.

Several common enhancements such as the introduction of edition-specific pillows, chrome grille ribs and mudflaps have been introduced on both cars, making it a special deal for upcoming buyers.

Engine & Transmission Options

The most important information that needs to be noted is that both – the special edition sedan and the SUV will be sold with a 1.5-litre TSI engine. Thankfully, the power unit is now compliant with the BS6 Phase-2 emission norms and is more fuel efficient when compared to the outgoing model. Skoda has confirmed that the upcoming standard vehicles will also get a similar update.
