If suggested reports are to be believed, Tata has come up with a name for a specific version of the H5X. The new 5 seater SUV that is said to carry the features of two rival car brands , the Hyundai creta and the Jeep compass, is said to be known by the name ‘harrier’ . Meanwhile, the other rival brand Toyota carries the name Harrier forthe SUV that already is in the market.

We indeed can not gauge to what extinct this maybe there but for a known fact this isn’t the first time that Tata has named a car after a bird of prey. For instance, the Tiago was ‘kite4’ and Tigor was ‘kite4’.

The Harrier, as we have gotten to know, is based on the exact same platformas the Land Rover Discovery Sport. The H5X concept is massive , it measured 4575mm in length and about 1960mm in height, definitely bigger than the Compass in almost all the aspects. This give us quite an image which makes us expect the production version to be almost the same in size. Infact, the test mules that were spotted were almost of the same size.

Making it’s first step into the market at the Auto Expo 2018, the concept SUV grabs eyeballs with its spectacular looks and design that was never seen before on a Tata model. The company is beefing up the networks for their sales way before the launch of the model in India, which is to take place in the first half of 2019. On the other hand, potential buyers will be in for a richer experience as the car makers are planning on giving it’s dealership a premium touch.

Set to be built at Tata’s plant in Pune the car is to be powered by Jeep’s 2.0 Litre multijet diesel engine in two states of tune, the model being offered in two different configurations; 5 and 7 seats. The SUV is expected to be prices anywhere from 10 lakhs to 15 lakhs. Harrier is not a unique name for a vehicle but Tata motors will not have an issue as Toyota Harrier is sold in markets such as Japan and Malaysia.
