The online registration process for the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS MBBS) 2019 examination will start from November 30, 2018. AIIMS has introduced a new process of registration which will take place in two stages — basic and final.
This is done to help avoid any last minute rush and the discrepancy in the forms. There is no fee for the initial stage of registration. After the verification of all the details filled, the candidate can proceed to the final registration. The candidates can apply online till January 3. The formalities of final registration will continue till March. The examination will be conducted on May 25 and 26, 2019.
The exam is taken by around 2.5 lakh medical aspirants annually and is aspired by many students after the centrally conducted NEET.
AIIMS MBBS 2019: Eligibility criteria
Candidates who have passed / appearing / appeared in 12th class examination (in 10+2 scheme) or its equivalent with the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology c with 60 per cent marks (50 per cent for SC/ST/OPH candidates) in aggregate.
Minimum marks: Candidates belonging to unreserved category must score at least 50 per cent, those belonging to OBC (non-creamy layer) must score at least 45 per cent and those belonging to SC/ST must score at least 40 per cent in order to be considered eligible for further counseling process of AIIMS MBBS.
If the candidates clear the criterion for basic registration, they will be allowed to fill the final stage of registrations. After the basic registration candidates will be informed about the errors in their application form and will be given adequate time to edit the same.
Last time, 7617 candidates had qualified the exam and 2649 candidates were qualified for the first round of centralized counselling.

The AIIMS MBBS entrance examination will be conducted in two shifts, morning shift (9 am- 12 noon) and afternoon shift (3 pm to 6 pm) at various centres across the country.
