Amid the rise in active COVID-19 cases in the city, The university of allahabad has preponed its summer vacations and now begins from 4th may, 2021. The allahabad university and its affiliated colleges and departments will remain closed till july 5. Earlier, the summer vacation was scheduled to start from may 15.
The university announced the update via the twitter handle and mentioned, “Summer vacations of the university preponed. In an online meeting of the Vice Chancellors with all the Deans, it was decided to prepone the summer vacations from the scheduled May 15. The rescheduled vacation will start from 4th and reopen on July 5, 2021.”
Hence, All the campus activities and online classes will remain suspended between 4 may to july 5 for all students, faculties, staff amd officers.
In a recently released notification, the university announced changes in the semester exam schedules and also decided to promote the students of the second year of undergraduate course and intermediate semester of postgraduate and professional courses to the next higher classes or semesters without any examination while considering the safety of students and staff.
But still there are no decisions made on the examinations of the undergraduate first-year courses and postgraduate or professional final semester examinations. The university is currently considering to organize the exams in July-August 2021 depending on the prevailing pandemic situation at that time.
