This is the third time when the payment has been reimbursed late.

To help out the students in this crucial time, the government of Andhra Pradesh has launched a fee reimbursement scheme. State Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched the scheme.

The name of the scheme is “Jagananna Vidya Deevena” which aims to provide 100 percent fee reimbursement and would be benefiting around total of 12 lakh students across the state.

After the launch of the scheme, the Andhra Pradesh CM stated that no other government in the past years had reimbursed fee arrears at such a big scale. Apart from the releasing fund of total corpus Rs 4,000 crore fund for the reimbursement the state government has also cleared Rs 1,880 crore pending because of the dues of previous government.

In addition to this, the Andhra CM stated that the scheme has been designed to make education accessible to the needy and poor students in the state. He also said that the real wealth can be used for the education of students and government has taken its first step for it.

The government of AP has launched “Jagananna Amma Vodi” scheme under which amount of Rs 15,000 per year would be given to the poor and needy mothers who fail to provide education to their children who are studying in class 1-12.

Under another scheme named “Jagananna Vasati Deevena”, Rs 2000 per year in two instalments to be given to around 12 lakh mothers of students who are pursuing higher education towards their mess and boarding charges.
