The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Chairman Anand Kishore revealed that with the Class X Board Examinations getting over, it was found that 55% of the candidates were fake and were disguised, while 162 candidates got expelled due to malpractices.

“At the time of BSEB chairman Anand Kishore’s visit at the government high school, Gardanibagh, the two officials including deputy secretary-cum-in-charge officer and assistant, Patna regional office were found in neglecting their duty. The board had taken actions against both,” BSEB official told.

It was reported that the Board adopted strict security measures this time in order to prevent malpractices among children, “Apart from a 24×7 control room to monitor the examinations, a WhatsApp group has also been made to keep in touch with every government officials, including district magistrates, education officers, and nodal officers,” said the official.

Earlier during the Class 12 examinations, 432 students were reported for cheating, including the 26 fake candidates.

It got reported that over 16.6 lakh students appeared for the Class X Board Examinations in the state. It has been reported that the results for both Class X and XII board examinations are scheduled to be declared in June 2019. For clearing the examination, the candidate must hold over 30% of total marks in the theory section while 40% in the practicals.
