The Central Board of Secondary Education has released an advisory for preventing students from Fake Rumors that are witnessed on social media and asks the students through a letter for avoiding believing such rumors regarding the upcoming board exams, referring to the last year’s rumor of leak of question papers.

The Board Examination was scheduled to commence from February 15 for Class 12 and from February 21 for Class 10.

The notice released by CBSE also requests people to support the smooth functioning of the board exams.

The board addressed students through notice saying, “It has been noticed in the past that certain unscrupulous elements spread rumors by hosting fake videos/messages on YouTube, FaceBook, Twitter and other Social Media platforms, obviously with the intention of spreading confusion and panic amongst students, parents, schools, and the public.”

“Through this notice, persons involved in such activities are warned and advised to restrain themselves from such activities. In case, any such information comes to the notice of the CBSE, immediate necessary action as per provisions of the law will be taken by the CBSE.”

In 2018, it was rumored that question papers have been leaked, but it was notified that only Class 12 Economics and Class 10 Maths question paper were leaked and other information was just a rumour.
