The first Computerized draw of lots for the Economically Backward Section category under the general category for admissions in Delhi Schools to occur today i.e. February 27, 2019.
Admission provided to the EWS/DG category (SC/ST/OBC Non-Creamy Lawyer/Orphan and Transgender/HIV Positive detected children) will be made through Computerized Lottery system in Delhi Schools for 225 seats that have been reserved for these particular categories under Provisions of Right to Education Act.
The verdict released by Supreme Court revealed that No private unaided school Recognized/Provisionally Recognized by Directorate of Education will be allowed to provide admission to any child in an offline mode for entry-level classes.
It has been reported that 3% of seats under the 25% reserved seats for the EWS/DG category at small-level classes namely Pre-school/Nursery/Pre-primary/Class I in Private unaided schools Recognized and approved by Directorate of Education are reserved for Children with Disabilities category for the next academic session of 2019-20.
The schools that have been included for admission through Computerized Online Admission system for EWS/DG category admissions for entry-level classes are Recognized/Provisionally recognized upto Primary Level till Class V by East MCD and North MCD.
