Amid protest, IGNOU shifts exam centres from Jamia Millia Islamia

The whole country is arguing over the controversial Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2019 with politicians and college students protesting over the bill which discriminates against Muslims. The neighboring Muslim countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan and Bangladesh minority groups have been promised citizenship. Amidst all these the people’s university, IGNOU has removed Jamia Millia Islamia College as their exam centres.

The recent turmoil has resulted in IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) changing the Jamia Millia Islamia College, New Delhi exam centre for its long-distance exams to Guru Nanak Garib Niwaj Education School, Greater Kailash-2.

The exam is scheduled from December 1, 2019, until January 3, 2020. The students can download the hall ticket by entering their enrollment number and program name at the IGNOU official website.

IGNOU is the central open distance university with its Chancellor being the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind. It has 2667 study centres and offers 226 academic degrees across the country and abroad including Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degrees, Postgraduate Diploma, Undergraduate and Postgraduate Certificates.
