IIM (Indian Institute of Management) Ahmedabad has just announced that one-year full-time residential Post-Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management for Executives (PGPX) batch of this year (2019-20) comprises more female candidates than last year.
This year’s batch was inaugurated by IIMA Director Errol D’Souza on Thursday (April 11). The last year’s female candidates’ strength criteria was 17% of the total of 138 students as compared to this year, which has increased to 23% among the total strength of 140.
Apart from the rise in gender diversity, the current batch is also very diverse in terms of work experience (21 industries, innumerable functional areas and 140 companies), NRIs (9.29% are residing outside India, spread across 6 countries) and international work- experience (35% of batch has worked abroad before joining PGPX), mentioned the official release.
So far the course (PGPX) has been launched in IIMA in year 2006, more than 1000 students have graduated.
