The last date for the application for Open and Distance Learning (ODL) in Indira Gandhi National Open University, IGNOU for July session is July 31. The application is open for different academic programs that are available under Open and Distance Learning. The forms for the different postgraduate and undergraduate degrees, postgraduate certificate (PG certificate), postgraduate diploma (PG diploma), certificate, diploma, and application or awareness-level programs can be availed on their official website. The IGNOV had the portal open for 10 online programs. Now the university has further added 24 courses on SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) portal.
The guidelines for filling these forms have also been uploaded to aid the students. The candidates are instructed to download the ‘common prospectus’ of masters and bachelor’s degrees, diploma, and certificate programs. They are also advised to the instruction carefully before filling the application forms.
GUIDELINES FOR UG, PG ADMISSION
An information bulletin issued by IGNOV states that “If you are a first-time applicant you are advised to click the available program tab on the homepage of the Online Admission System and select the desired program and carefully read the details of the program including eligibility criteria, fee details, duration, etc.”
The statement also added that “You are also requested to download the Common Prospectus and read carefully the Rules of the University (Section six) as mentioned in the common prospectus. You may also read sections one, seven, eight, nine, 12, and 13,”
Different programs offered by IGNOV include MA in English, BA in Hindi, PGD in Rural Development, PG Certificate in Adult Education, Appreciation Course on Environment, Population and Sustainable Development, Awareness Programme on Value Added Products from Fruits and Vegetables, Dairy Farming.
The application fees for these programs can only be paid online via credit card, debit card or net banking. In order to save the details, the candidates are requested to create an account with a username and password.
