The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLU) has allowed the candidates of Common Law Entrance Test (CLAT) 2021 to choose the Exam centres as per their own choice.

The NLU consortium has recently released the final district-wise exam centre list and also opened the online window for students to edit their preferences for exam centres.

The option to select exam centres for CLAT 2021 is available till July 4. The student will have to visit the official website of NLU consortium http://consortiumofnlus.ac.in to do so.

In the view of restrictions due to COVID-19 pandemic, the NLU Consortium has increased the number of exam centres this year with decreasing the duration of each exam.

This changes will avoid the large gathering of student at one place and will ensure that students do not need travel longer distances in order to reach thier respective exam centres.

Steps to edit the choice of exam centres for CLAT 2021;

  1. Visit the official website of NLU consortium as mentioned above.
  2. Login to the CLAT 2021 portal using Mobile number and password.
  3. Direct to the ‘Edit Application’ option.
  4. Under this option, select the tab for ‘Preferences’.
  5. Here, select the three exam centres as per choice in designated sections.
  6. Click on the next button and agree the declaration form.
  7. At last, select the ‘Save’ option to lock your preferences of exam centres.

Details regarding CLAT 2021 Exam;

  • The exam will be conducted by conventional pen and paper mode only. Thus the students will need to physical appear at exam centres at designated date and time.
  • For candidates of undergraduate courses, the exam paper will consist of 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs) carrying one mark each.
  • 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer made by student.
  • The time duration to solve this questions will be of two hours.
  • For postgraduate courses, the exam paper will consist of both objective and descriptive type questions divided into two sections.
  • The first objective section will have 100 MCQ questions, each worth of 1 mark.
  • The second section will consist of two descriptive essays.
