NTA likely to conduct DU entrance exam this year

This year Delhi University has proposed its entrance exam to be assumingly held by National Testing Agency (NTA).

If the proposal gets approved then DU will be the second central University of India after JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University), which will be conducting its entrance exam through NTA.

Earlier till 2018 the entrance exam of DU, Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) was conducted by the university itself.

The initiative was sought in the meeting held on May 2nd by the Delhi Standing Committee, which proposed that specialist organisations like NTA should approach for 2019-20 session university entrance exam.

The exam will be held as Computer Based admission Test if it s to be conducted by NTA.

According to an NTA source, the agency has already asked DU to send their terms and conditions.

The registrations have already been started by Delhi University from 1st May.

DU Entrance Exam

DU organises various entrance exams to offer admissions to students. The admission in management courses is done through CAT (Common Admission Test). The medical and dental courses admissions are done on basis of scores in NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance-Test).

These entrance tests are responsible to provide admissions in various programs as UG, PG, Doctoral, Diploma in varied fields like Law, Management, Engineering, Commerce, Humanities, Science etc.
