With exams getting postponed or cancelled all around the country, rather it is boards or competitive or entrance exams, a question still persist for the medical aspirants that will NEET 2021 get postponed? And if not then how it will be conducted?

None of the state boards or Central Examination Boards have found current situations to be favourable for conduction of exam due to the the corona virus pandemic. But The National Testing Agency (NTA) is still looking to conduct NEET 2021.

The National Entrance cum Eligibility Test (NEET) for 2021 has been scheduled to be held on 1st of August in offline mode. But the NTA has not yet released the application forms for this exam. And the aspirants are still waiting for an official notification or update from the agency.

Following the timeline of last year, the exam may get postponed but the NTA has not started any consideration over this topic and is still observing the situations of second wave of corona virus. If situations does not normalise, then students may expect an update till July.

According to Educationists and experts, A lot of administrative process for NEET are still on hold from both the Agency’s as well as Aspirant’s end. Also, NTA has to make additional preparations according to the guidelines of Ministry of Health and Indian government for successful conduction of exam.

If this processes are not started soon then it will be difficult to conduct the exam on the tentative scheduled date. The agency should come up with a final decision as soon as possible which will be in favour to the students and other stake holders.

If the agency is considering to postpone exams, then it should start designing a new timeline for the exam. Whatever will the decision be, the students must be informed with top most priority in order to avoid any spread of misinformation.
