2.0 had a great opening at theatres as well as at box office. Well, it was expected from a film starring demi-god Rajinikanth and it lived up to the expectations.
This was Akshay’s south cinema debut and Rajinikanth took his stardom to a different level through this film. Fans readily accepted Akshay Kumar in his negative mutant avatar.
Movie opened to housefull theatres, not just only in India but across globe. The movie is getting positive review everywhere and good word of mouth is expected to increase box office number in upcoming days.

According to a trade analyst, the film expects to earn 20-25 crore in just Hindi belt, and might touch gross 100 crore mark on its first day.
The film received averagely three stars out of five. The film hopes to run successfully for coming many weeks and create or break all the previous box office records.
