Actor Tabu and director Mira Nair have completed the Lucknow schedule of their upcoming project A Suitable Boy. They were shooting in the city from 7 September.
Nair took to her social media account to announce the wrap up and shared a picture of herself with Tabu and Tanya Maniktala. They seem to be happy enjoying a cart ride in the city of Nawabs.

Produced by Lookout Point for BBC One, A Suitable Boy is an adaptation of Vikram Seth’s popular novel of the same name. The screenplay has been written by Welsh writer Andrew Davies who is best known for House of Cards and A Very Peculiar Practice, and his adaptations of Vanity Fair, Pride and Prejudice, Middlemarch, and War & Peace.
The six-part series that marks the second collaboration between Nair and Tabu after 2006 film The Namesake is expected to go on air in June next year.
Besides Tabu as courtesan Saeeda Bai, it will feature an ensemble cast that will include Ishaan Khatter as the male protagonist Maan Kapoor, Tanya Maniktala as the protagonist Lata Mehra, Rasika Dugal as her sister Savita Kapoor, Shefali Shah as Rupa Mehra (mother of Lata Mehra and Savita Kapoor), Vijay Varma as Rasheed (a tutor to Saeeda Bai’s sister), Randeep Hooda as Billy Irani, Vivek Gomber as Arun Mehra (Lata’s elder brother), Ram Kapoor as Mahesh Kapoor (a renowned politician and father of Maan Kapoor), Shahana Goswami as Meenakshi and many others.
