We all were in raptures when we got to know that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be lending her voice for Angelina Jolie’s character in the Hindi version of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. It would be a treat to watch one beauty queen voicing for another one from other part of the world.

During a recent interview, the former Miss World revealed that she was informed about the offer on a very interesting occasion. She said she watched Maleficent with her family on a Sunday evening and everyone ended up liking the character, thinking “she is actually wonderful”.
Two days after this evening, the actor received a message about the offer when she was putting her daughter to bed. Well, Ms. Bachchan did not jump with excitement but her cute daughter was all in awe that her mother would be doing the film. Aish clarified to her that the film has already been made. It is for something else.
“Two days later I am putting Aradhya to bed and I am putting my alarm for the next morning.. and this message comes about Maleficent. I said it aloud and Aradhya went all wow. What! Maleficent! You are doing Maleficent! Wow!. And I told her the film is already over. This is some kind of voice over,” the actress said.

She further added, “I saw Aradhya smile, and the moment I saw her starry-eyed, I realized I have to look into this project.”
On the work front, Hindi version of Maleficent 2 will be releasing on October 18 in India. Besides this, the actress is reported to be soon teaming up with Mani Ratnam with whom she done a number of films including Guru alongside her husband Abhishek Bachchan.
