Aishwarya Rai Bachchan just as always is on her way to win over the world, one red carpet event at a time. After Dubai it was the turn for Sydney to witness this elegant woman this time in black and white. Aishwarya was present for the opening of a store.
This Diva floored those present with her fashion statements–a shiny white gown and an all-black ensemble. From a floor-length black Gauri & Nainika gown for earlier in the evening to a shiny outfit at the same event later, Aishwarya was a vision. Social media was flooded with Aishwarya’s photos, well why wouldn’t it be.
The diva also spoke about the #MeToo campaign and said that she will support anyone who needs a voice. “I think the good thing that the movement reflected, is the strength that one voice has the capability of impacting, I think that was a very powerful message to percolate in all walks of life,” she told Australia’s Be in an interview.
Praising Oprah Winfrey she added, “Oprah said it most effectively, ‘It is the dawn of a new beginning,’ and it made people aware that these are the possibilities you can experience, in this present time, the present time to bring about change. We need to use that power and strength constructively, effectively and responsively. I can say I feel strongly and will support anyone who needs a voice”.
Her daughter Aaradhya and husband Abhishek Bachchan accompanied her to Australia. The family plans on celebrating Abhishek’s birthday on February 5 together.
