Move over Mogambo and Gabbar Singh, there’s a new villain in town! Padmaavat’s villain Alauddin Khilji played by none other than Ranveer Singh has become the new favorite villain of everyone.

Ranveer literally embodied the ruthless tyrant of Delhi and brought him back to life. In order to get into the character, the actor stayed isolated for 21 days. In the story, to get the throne Alauddin killed his king and uncle and showed his severed head to a wife who also happens to be the daughter of the uncle. Even actor Riteish Deshmukh is in awe of his performance.
I haven’t seen a more menacing performance on screen in the last 10 years than @RanveerOfficial ‘s #Khilji You are pure gold. You owned it like a king… take a bow my friend #Padmaavat pic.twitter.com/ds732VhqP7

Another example of his ruthlessness is shown in the film when he slyly captured Raja Ratan Singh and took him to Delhi in order to get Rani Padmavati. The power-driven, sly, beastly, scarred face Sultan of Delhi is now being added to the Boulevard of Unforgettable Villains of Bollywood.
