Quite a few months ago Akshay Kumar shared the look of his upcoming movie, Gold, on his social media accounts. Now finally after 7 months his fans will be able to view the first teaser of the movie which will be out on the coming Monday.
The movie is a sports biopic concerning the life of veteran hockey player Balbir Singh Sr., who was in the team that won the first Olympic medal for India as an independent nation in 1948. Gold will also mark the Bollywood debut of Television actress Mouni Roy who has garnered a lot of appreciation for her shows Naagin and its sequel. As per reports, she will be romancing Akshay Kumar in the film. Along with Mouni the movie will also feature Amit Sadh and Kunal Kapoor in pivotal roles.
It will be helmed by Reema Kagti who has given us fantastic movies like Aamir Khan and Rani Mukherjee starrer Talaash in the past and has also assisted the direction of a number of blockbusters like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Dil Chahta Hai and Lagaan.
The film is set to be released on Independence Day, this year.
