Superstar, Akshay Kumar signs films faster than light travels in space. I know it sounds crazy but this is the truth. His film ‘Atrangi Re’, with Aanad L Rai has not even released yet and he has announced another project with the director. On the day of Raksha Bandhan, the actor announced his next film with the director, titled ‘Raksha Bandhan’.
The film is going to be about the brother-sister bond, Akshay said that it’ll be a tribute to his sister, Alka Bhatia and the relationship between a brother and sister.
Akshay announced the film on Twitter, posting the following tweet :

The film’s story is written by Aanand’s longtime writer, Himanshu Sharma. As the film is close to Akshay’s heart, the actor couldn’t stop himself from pouring his heart out. In a statement Akshay said :
“It makes me happiest that my sister Alka is presenting and producing this film along with ace director Aanand L Rai. Can’t thank him enough for bringing me one of the most special films of my life.”
Even the director, Aanand L Rai is excited to collaborate with Akshay once again and to present a story never before seen in Hindi Cinema. Sharing his views, he said :
“Akshay is such a talented actor and I am really excited to collaborate with him once again for Raksha Bandhan. The film is a special tale which celebrates relationships in the most beautiful way.”
Both Akshay and Aanand are producing the film under their banners, Color Yellow Films and Cape Of Good Films. Akshay’s sister, Alka Bhatia will be one of the presenters of the film.
‘Raksha Bandhan’ is obviously not going to come out this year. It’ll go on floors next year, with a release date of November 5, 2021 in schedule.
Apart from this, Akshay is currently awaiting the release of his films, Sooryavanshi and Laxmmi Bomb, and is also going to start shooting again for Atrangi Re.
