Ever since PadMan started getting ready for its release, it has been surrounded by some controversy or the other. Earlier the director of Phullu (another movie based on menstruation) stood against PadMan‘s claim of calling itself the first movie to be based on the topic of menstruation and women hygiene and now a screenplay writer by the name of Ripu Daman Jaiswal has accused the movie of being plagiarized. The guy who has also lodged an FIR against Akshay Kumar claims that he had sent a copy of his script to Dharma Productions which is headed by Karan Johar and scenes from PadMan have been copied from his script.

Around two months ago, Ripu took to facebook to voice his claims. “One and a half years ago, I had written and registered a film based on the works of Arunachalam Muruganantham,” he wrote. “I had registered the film on 5th of December 2016 from SCREEN WRITER ASSOCIATION and sent to Ryan Stephan (Karan johar’s production — Creative head) and personally to Vikram Aditya Motwane.
And you know what happened? After ten days on 16th of December 2016, I heard the news that Mrs. Twinkle Khanna revealed that her production is making a film based on his life, starring AKSHAY KUMAR”, he added.

Ripu has also attached pictures of his script along with a long plea on facebook asking for help as he does not have the financial strength to fight this battle against the accused party.

Ripu recently watched the movie after which he tweeted that by intermission the movie had already shown 11 scenes that have been copied from his script. He even claims that certain dialogues have also been picked directly from his script and has further resorted to take the matter to court.

This is not only a matter of concern for PadMan team but also raises a finger on Karan Johar’s production house and its creative head Ryan Stephan who, if the story is to be believed, are among the guilty party.
