Yrf’s Bunty aur Babli completes 15 years today. Directed by Shaad ali, the film was a story about two con artist partners on a run from a cop. It marked the first time, when father and son Amitabh and Abhishek Bacchan shared screen space together. Rani Mukherjee played Abhishek’s partner in crime.
It also marked Aishwarya Rai’s first appearance with the father and son duo in a film. She appeared in the hit song ‘Kajra Re’ which became massively popular at the time. Amitabh Bacchan went down memory lane to reminisce the song.

Amitabh and Abhishek went on to collaborate on films such as Sarkaar, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and Paa after this film. Their fans enjoyed their films together and applauded their on screen chemistry in the films.
Bunty aur Babli is getting a sequel too which will be helmed by debutant Varun V Sharma. The film is touted as a rebooted sequel and will star Saif Ali khan, Rani Mukherjee, Siddhant Chautrvedi and Sharvari.
The sequel was going to release on June 26 this year but owing to the Coronavirus, no further news regarding its release is made till now.
