Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn is getting all the love and praises from his Runway 34 co-star Amitabh Bachchan. In being talked about the film, the actor once revealed that if Bachchan hadn’t agreed to do the film, he would have never made Runway 34.
The aviation film Runway 34, released on Friday, got mixed responses from the audience and critics. However, Devgn’s co-star Amitabh Bachchan sent him a special handwritten note to praise his magnificent direction skills.
“Ajay Ajay Ajay, an absolute honour to be a part of ’34’ and to be the recipient of a magnificent director’s gift. Your work is superior. Runway 34 director Ajay Devgn got emotional on receiving such a special note from Big B. He shared the letter on Twitter with the caption, “When the illustrious and magnanimous Amitabh Bachchan stars in your directorial venture, it is an honour that is hard to encapsulate in words.”
He further added, “And when he uses his heartfelt words in a hand-written note of appreciation it stirs emotions that are a heady mix of gratitude, quiet pride and satisfaction. Thank you Amit ji!”
About Ajay Devgn’s Directorial Drama ‘Runway 34’
Inspired by the true events, Ajay Devgn’s directorial aviation drama depicts the 2015 incident when a Doha to Kochi flight had the impossible choice of attempting a landing. The story revolves around Ajay Devgn as Captain Vikrant Khanna, a flying prodigy, and his co-pilot Tanya Albuquerque, played by Rakul Preet Singh. Amitabh Bachchan portrays the character of the investigating officer of the case, Narayan Vedant. The film got released in theatres on April 29. Runway 34 is receiving mixed responses from the audience and critics.
Ajay Devgn was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and SS Rajamouli’s Pan-Indian film RRR.
