Ayushmann Khurrana’s Article 15 is still maintaining its call at the box office, after having a decent opening of Rs 5crores on its day one; it is still able to retain its essence in the second week at the theatres.

The movie is able to collect, 1.75cr on its second Thursday at the box office. Its total accumulation stands more than 50cr in fourteen days at the theatre.

As per a report in Box Office India, Article 15’s second-week accumulation has been a noteworthy one considering the film confronted the hardened challenge from movies like Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Far From Home.

The film’s second-week total collection amounted to around Rs 18 crore: Fri 2.65 cr, Sat 4 cr, Sun 5.35 cr, Mon 2.02 cr, Tue 1.25 cr, Wed 1.35 cr, Thurs 1.75cr respectively.

Though the lead actor and subject of the movie are highly appreciated and able to gather a wave of positive comments from critics and fans, but still it is able to start its journey in just one figure number.

The themed movie is a political drama, inspired by a true incident from the Badaun gang-rape and murder case the subject of the movie revolves around its title which is Article 15 of the Indian Constitution, which prohibits discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth.

Ayushmann Khurrana, the protagonist, is playing a police officer in the film. Article 15 also stars Kumud Mishra, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Isha Talwar, and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub.

Article 15 is written by Gaurav Solanki and Anubhav Sinha, Produced by Zee Studios and Benaras Media Works, and directed by Anubhav Sinha.
