Actor Ayushmann Khurrana reunites with Anand L Rai for a new big Bollywood venture titled ‘Action Hero.’ After producing two successful hits, the director has reasons to believe in the talented the actor again.
Anand L Rai And Ayushmann Khurrana Reunites For An Action Film
Filmmaker Anand L Rai has collaborated with actor Ayushmann Khurrana for the third time. After giving massive hits, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan and the sequel, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, both the actor and director has reunited to produce an action film titled ‘Action hero.’ Unlike the two hits by the duo, the movie genre is quite different. It is considered to be a big-budget, multi-genre drama and will present Ayushmann in an entirely distinct character than ever seen before.
Production of the film is set to start in London soon. The film will be directed by Anirudh Iyer Ganapathy as his directorial debut.
Former Projects Of The Duo
Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, the first movie of Ayushmann Khurrana with director Anand L Rai, was a mega hit of 2017. It talked about the issue of erectile dysfunction in men. An unconventional topic, presented in a unique manner, with a delightful screenplay, hilarious dialogues and brilliant performances by the actors in the film, made a giant hit at the box office.
In an interview after the release of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, the director expressed his thoughts regarding Ayushmann Khurrana. ”I see a lot of potential in him and the way he is growing and moving. So early in his life, he has achieved a stature, where people say, ‘This is a very Ayushmann Khurrana kind of a film’. You need guts to do a film like ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’. Whether it is ‘Dum laga ke Haisah’ or ‘Bala’, he has been doing it. That is his brand and he has made that very passionately,” says Rai.
Ayushmann Khurrana starring sequel, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, again startled the big screen. The movie exhibited the issue of homosexuality and its acceptance in society. The story revolves around two boys struggling and fighting for their love against all odds. Just like the previous part, this one centres on the whisk of satire, humour and melodrama among the characters of the film.
Again Ayushmann has teamed up with director Anand L Rai for another film, different from the previous projects. The actor will be seen in a discrete character, much more intense and vigorous. Ayushmann Khurrana recently gave a massive hit, Chandigarh Kare Ashiqui, streaming on Netflix.
