After all the controversy with Ayushmann Khurrana’s Bala, Ujda Chaman finally got released yesterday and opened to good numbers, more than what Made In China and Saand Ki Aaankh collected on their first day.
According to a report on Box Office India, Sunny Singh starrer Ujda Chaman has managed to collect Rs 1.75 crore on its opening day. Keeping in mind that it is a low budget film and has no popular face this number can be considered good. The film is expected to see a growth in its collection on Saturday and Sunday.
The film saw a dull opening but made some gains in the evening especially the Delhi / NCR belt. The film collected more than Made In China and Saand Ki Aankh on day one and although those films were on pre-Diwali it is still a much better opening for Udja Chaman as it has a lesser release and has a far lower budget.
The opening day collection of Udja Chaman is three times more than Saand Ki Aankh which collected Rs 45 lakh on day one and almost double of Made In China which collected Rs one crore on its opening day.
The Hollywood release Terminator – Dark Fate is the best new release of the week with a collection of Rs 2.75 crore and the task for Udja Chaman will be to catch this film as it can show a better trend than Terminator – Dark Fate.
