One of the greatest poets to ever live in India was, Harivansh Rai Bachchan. He was a stalwart and his work is famous the world over. His son megastar, Amitabh Bachchan is proud of his father and feels blessed. The city of Wroclaw in Poland has named a square after Harivansh Rai Bachchan, which has made Amitabh overflow with happiness.
The actor shared the news with his fans via Instagram, captioning the post as–
“The City Council of the City of Wroclaw, Poland has decided to name a Square after my Father… there could not have been a more apt blessing on Dushhera than this .. a moment of extreme pride for the family, for the Indian community in Wroclaw .. and India… JAI HIND.”
It marks a historic moment not only for the Bachchan family but India too. On the occasion of Diwali, this news sounds sweeter.
Harivansh Rai Bachchan is best known for his poems, famous among which was ‘Madhushala’. In 1976, the government of India awarded him with the Padma Bhushan for his contribution towards Hindi Literature. He died in 2003.
While Amitabh Bachchan has gone on to make his father even more proud, by establishing himself as a legend of Indian Cinema.
