The trailer of Bobby Deol starrer ‘Class of 83’ released today and it surely seems to be a big comeback of the actor after his critically bashed film Race 3. The story is set in Bombay of the 1980s and follows the story of Mumbai Police and how they deal with the increasing crime rate of the city. Based on Hussain Zaidi’s Class of 83: The Punishers of Mumbai Police, the film also features Annup Sonii, Vishwajeet Pradhan, and Joy Sengupta. The film seems to be a gritting story, exploring the crime theme and some interesting tactics followed by the city police in reality too.

Bobby Deol plays Dean Vijay Singh who comes up with a plan of creating a secret squad of officers (Bhupendra Jadawat, Ninad Mahajani, Hitesh Bhojraj, Sameer Paranjape and Prithvik Pratap) and these officers will have the freedom to organize encounters on the criminals who are disrupting the peace of the society. The mission follows targeting five gangsters who are a threat to the city of Bombay.

Vijay Singh’s character has a past which adds to the backstory of this film. We have seen a lot of films in Bollywood with a similar premise, but this one seems promising and thrilling experience. Directed by Atul Sabharwal, ‘Class of 83’ streams on Netflix dated August 31.
