Disha Patani along with the whole production team has left for Chandigarh to begin the shooting for Ekta Kapoor’s production venture.
The movie will see Disha play the role of a small town Punjabi girl, a role that is different than anything we have seen the actress in before.While preparing for the role, Disha also took Punjabi lessons in order to perfect her accent.
She said, “This film is a crackling comedy and I am excited. I will be essaying the role of a small-town Punjabi girl. I am super enthusiastic to begin my preparations and learn the language. To bring about the beauty and authenticity of my character, I need to make sure that I can bring out the Punjabi in me, not only through my appearance and gestures but also through my dialect.”
It will also be the first time that Ekta Kapoor and Disha Patani will be working together.
The movie will be written by Raaj Shaandilyaa, directed by Ashima Chibber and produced by Ekta Kapoor. This is the second time Ekta Kapoor and Raaj Shaandilyaa are collaborating. Raaj made his directorial debut with Ekta Kapoor’s Dream Girl which was a commercial success.
Meanwhile, Disha Patani will be next seen in Mohit Suri‘s Malang opposite Aditya Roy Kapoor which is releasing early next year.
