The Indian film actor Emraan Hashmi says that he wants to do films that will reflect his thinking. Before making his debut in the acting career Emraan worked as an assistant director in the 2002 movie Raaz, which was a horror film. Then, he made his acting debut with the leading role in the movie “Footpath”, which was a box office hit. With the time Emraan has established himself as an actor in the Hindi cinema. He rose the popularity from his 2004 Blockbuster movie ‘Murder’, which was directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Mahesh Bhatt. Later he appeared in many films like Zeher, Gangster, Awarapan, Jannat, Raaz: The Mystery Continues, The Dirty Picture, Murder 2, Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, Jannat 2, Raaz 3, Ek Thi Daayan, Shanghai and Hamari Adhuri Kahani. He got three Filmfare Award nominations and he is one of the highest paid actors.
Currently, he is gearing up for his upcoming movie ‘Baadshaho‘, which is based on the story of six badasses set in the emergency period of 1975 when they looted a truck full of gold. The movie which is directed by Milan Luthria. Emraan might be seen in the part of the other installments of Raaz or Murder franchise. On this actor, Emraan says that he now wants to do movies which will reflect his thinking.
Emraan says that there was a phase in his life where he did whatever he was being offered without even doing any analysis because at that time he did not want to sit at home so he said yes to such movies also. But now, Emraan says that he is only focusing on good stories and he did not want to do films just for the sake of doing it.
About the same Emraan says, “I am not the same person I was five or six years back. So, when people ask me if I will do ‘Raaz’ or ‘Murder’, I don’t think I will get into that. I would like to get into films that reflect my thinking.”
Emraan is busy promoting his upcoming movie “Baadshaho” in the national capital along with his other co-actors like Ajay Devgn, Esha Gupta, and Ileana D’Cruz.
About the movie, Emraan Hashmi said that the movie is set against the backdrop of Emergency. The movie will revolve around a royal family of Rajasthan and on how their property gets looted after the declaration of Emergency. Baadshaho is the story of six people and they are trying hard to bring a change in their destiny by pulling off a heist.
Director Milan Luthria praised Emraan Hashmi for his dedication towards his work and Milan said that he is playing the most entertaining character in the movie. About his character, Milan said, “Emraan is a mix of instinct and deep thinking.He doesn’t show it to others, but I know that he puts in a lot of effort to prepare for the role. I can say with confidence that character in the film will the most entertaining in his career.”
“Baadshaho” is scheduled for September 1 release.
