An Indian actor Farhan Akhtar has backed actor Hrithik Roshan in an ongoing row along with the actor Kangana Ranaut. Yesterday, actor Farhan wrote an open letter on his official Facebook account to defend Hrithik Roshan but he has written a letter without naming anyone in the letter. Earlier he has worked along with the actor Hrithik in the movies like ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ and ‘Luck By Chance’.
Farhan feels that Hrithik has been unfairly judged by the media. The media people have only presented the one side of the narrative to their audience. He even mentions that how different the story would have been if the genders of both the parties were reversed.
He read an open letter which has been written by a man he knows and as well as the woman he knows, professionally at the best. Farhan says that it’s almost been a while to the controversy that is going round in the media. He even said that this is the very first time that Hrithik has expressed his views about this controversy.
He wrote in a letter that he is not having an authority to judge who is right and who is wrong in this situation. That is work of the cybercrime officials to figure it out, but he says that there are some aspects of the way the events have unfolded need comment. Moreover, he said that there is a society in which woman suffers from injustice and repression. He knows that it is very horrifying but it is true. He pointed that there is a section of people in the society which blames the victim and he has always found this to be unacceptable.
Farhan Akhtar is also the founder of the social campaign MARD (Men Against Rape and Discrimination). Although he says that there are certain cases which you can say that woman is wronged. There is a huge difference between the most and all there is some case in which men have been stalked. He started that however, Hrithik has handed over his personal cell phone and laptop to the authorities which are concerned. However, actress Kangana has avoided doing so.
He has also taken a reference from the photograph of the two actors from a party. On that photograph, Farhan says that it is manipulated. He said that the actual photograph consisted of a group of people which includes Hrithik’s ex-wife also and they can be seen together in a party. He said that the reason why he felt to write an open letter because there are some people which have literally jumped into the conclusion while other people are deriving some sort of voyeuristic pleasure and they are encouraging the woman to carry on speaking.
Moreover, he urged everyone to avoid vilifying the man and that too on the basis of an unsubstantiated statement. It’s better that they should wait for the logical conclusion by the authorities. He requested that let’s just not discriminate. There are more actors like Farah Ali Khan, Karan Johar, Sonam Kapoor and Yami Gautam have actually agreed with him on this matter.
