Recreating old songs is the new trend in Bollywood. Haiyo Ho from Marjaavaan and Tum Par Hum Hai Atke from Pagalpanti are two such recently released songs which are the remakes of old songs from 1990s and 1980s respectively.
Now there is another song of the 90s which is going to be recreated for the upcoming film Pati Patni Aur Woh starring Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, and Ananya Pandey. The makers are going to reprise one of the most popular songs of the 90s Ankhiyon Se Goli Maare. The song of Govinda and Raveen Tandon from the film Dulhe Raja has gained a cult status over the years especially its dance moves.
Confirming the news, director Mudassar Aziz said in a statement, “Our film is based in a certain milieu. This requires most songs in the movie to take the narrative forward. So we required a fun song where the characters could let lose in an alternate setting, where even the Patni and Woh could be together.”
The director also confirmed that the song be choreographed by Farah Khan and will be a promotional fun track. Kartik will be shooting for the song in November in Mumbai along with the leading ladies before leaving for Dostana 2 shoot.
This much-awaited romantic comedy is the remake of BR Chopra’s 1978 classic hit film which starred Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta. Produced by T-series and BR Films, Pati Patni Aur Woh is slated to release on December 6.
