Dangal girl Sanya Malhotra has bagged her second film titled “Manmarziyan“, which is an upcoming Indian Bollywood romantic film directed by Sameer Sharma and produced by Anand L. Rai. The movie features Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar, and Vicky Kaushal in the lead.
Earlier, Sanya is known best for playing the role of ‘Babita Phogat’ in Aamir Khan’s blockbuster film “Dangal”. Now, she has been roped in by Anurag Kashyap for Aanand L Rai’s ‘Manmarziyan’. According to the latest reports, Sanya will play the female lead opposite Punjabi singer Jassie Gill.
The film is set to be a love story set in Punjab, where Bhumi will be seen playing the role of a Punjabi girl, while on the other hand Ayushmann will be seen playing a Punjabi man in the movie.
Earlier, the filmmaker Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari was about to direct the movie. But the project was put on hold for some time for reasons best known to the makers. The project will go on floors in December and will be shot in northern India.
