Actress Sonakshi Sinha has received heaps of praises for her portrayal of a ISRO scientist in the recently released film ‘Mission Mangal’.

The film, starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menon, has minted an estimated 288 crores at the box office.

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the ‘Dabangg’ girl expressed her joy over the film’s success. She also emphasized on the importance of the commercial success of this film that had so many women playing important characters.

She said, “Multi-starrer’s don’t get made that much because actors are concerned about their positioning, they want to know how much screen time they have got.”

Sonakshi then mentioned the Hollywood films like ‘Ocean’s series’ where some of the biggest stars had small roles.

“They all look at it as a bigger picture, [.] as a film on the whole and everyone has something to contribute.”

Sonakshi expressed that the success of films like ‘Mission Mangal’ encourages them to do better work.

Directed by Jagan Shakti, the film was loosely based on the life’s of the ISRO scientist who contributed to India’s first interplanetary mission, Mars Orbital Mission.

‘Mission Mangal’ released on Independence day this year and received positive response from critics.
