Dhanush starrer ‘Maari 2‘ released this week with few more Tamil movies, like ‘Kanaa’, ‘Adanga Maru’, and ‘Silukuvarpatti Singam’, but in spite of competition, the film’s overall performance is satisfactory in its home city.
Though the release of several films all at once has affected the business of all of them, as predicted by trade pundits, ‘Maari 2’ has turned out to be a success at Chennai Box Office. The collection of all the Tamil films released this week was tweeted by trade analyst Ramesh Bala.

‘Maari 2’ stars Sai Pallavi, Krishna, Tovino Thomas, and Robo Shankar in the lead roles. It is directed by Balaji Mohan.
The film is the sequel of 2015 released ‘Maari’ featuring Dhanush as a notorious Don of the area. Old avatar of Dhanush is back in this film also.
