‘KGF: Chapter 1‘ starring Yash and Srinidhi Shetty, which released this week, got a good opening at Box Office and smashed several records in Karnataka. The original film was in Kannada language but was dubbed in five other languages and released across India on 2460 screens in India.
The film opened up with Rs 18.1 crores in its account, living up to the expectations. It earned Rs 12.50 crores in Karnataka alone.
Trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted the film’s day 1 collection across India.

Biz analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the film’s Hindi version collection on its first day.

Set in the era of 70s and 80s, the film revolves around the Kolar Gold Fields in Karnataka. It is directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur, under the Hombale Films banner. It stars Srinidhi Shetty, Achyuth Kumar, Malavika Avinash, Anant Nag and Vasishta N Simha in key roles.
