Vidya Balan will make a special appearance on screen in the Tamil remake of Bollywood film ‘Pink’. And according to the reports, the actor has not charged a single penny for the movie. Details about her character have not been revealed yet.
‘Pink’ was 2016 released Indian social thriller movie, directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, written by Ritesh Shah, and produced by Rashmi Sharma Telefilms. The film starred Amitabh Bachchan, Tapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Angad Bedi, Piyush Mishra, Andrea Teriang and others. The critically acclaimed movie received the National Film Award for Best Film on Other Social Issues.
The film was specially screened for the Rajasthan Police, to make them aware of women’s rights and dignity. It was also screened at Rashtrapati Bhawan and invited for a screening at the United Nations headquarters in New York City.
The Tamil version of ‘Pink’ will be produced by Boney Kapoor and Thala Ajith will play the male lead in the movie. Finalization of the of the other characters is still under process including the female lead.
On the work front, Vidya is busy shooting for her next project ‘Mission Mangal’, in which she will share the screen with Akshay Kumar, Tapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, and others.
