Popular Tv actor, Ashiesh Roy passed away at a young age of 55 on Tuesday. Kidney failure is the cause of his death, while since a long time the actor’s health was not in a desired condition. In May, his poor health caused him to go to an ICU in a Mumbai hospital.
A staff member of the actor, confirmed the news of his demise. Talking to reporters, he said:
“He collapsed around 3.45 am. He had a kidney ailment and his dialysis was also going on but he had gotten better in the last few weeks… His sister will arrive from Kolkata in the evening. A call on funeral will be then taken.”
His death saddened the entire tv and film industry members. Tributes for the actor came trickling down on Twitter. From filmmaker, Hansal Mehta to actors such as Sooraj Thapar, Aasif Sheikh, Tinaa Ghai and Ssumier S Pasricha, everyone mourned his death.

Asheish was notable for starring in popular tv serials such as Remix, Baa Bahu Aur Baby, Sasural Simar Ka, Mere Angne Mein and Aarambh while his film appearances included Home Delivery and Raja Natwarlal.
When he was in an ICU in May, receiving dialysis, the actor had sought financial assistance for his treatment. He posted it on Facebook, with his two posts reading :
“I am in the ICU… Very ill. Dialysis”, followed by another post that read, “Need your urgent money for dialysis.”
At that time it was Hansal Mehta who had urged the film associations to help the actor with his finances. Now Ashiesh is no more to even request for the finances. May he rest in peace.
