Apple has planned to launch the 13-inch MacBook Air and 13- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models at the event on 10th November. The new MacBook models would have the highly anticipated Apple silicon that is based on the A14 Bionic SoC which is powering iPhone 12 series and the latest iPad Air models. Cupertino sent the media invite for the event on Monday without providing any information on specifics.

The invite has mentioned “One more thing” which is expected to be the new Mac machines with Apple silicon according to reports by Bloomberg. The new machines include the 13-inch MacBook Air with the 13- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models and all of them have been speculated to come with the new SoC.

Apple is ramping up the production of new MacBook models with Foxconn manufacturing the 13-inch MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models and Quanta Computer making the 16-inch MacBook Pro.

The MacBook Air and MacBook Pro in the size of 13-inch are ahead in production and might receive their announcement on 10th November. Apple might take some time to bring the 16-inch MacBook Pro to the market.

The new MacBook models have no particular design changes. This also suggests that there will be the same aesthetics and presence of a Magic Keyboard which was seen on MacBook Air 2020 and 13-inch MacBook Pro refresh this year.

Apple has been reported to have a redesigned iMac in making with the new Mac pro. Both the desktops are speculated to be based on the new silicon. The new Mac Pro has been reported to be about half the size of the existing model and still it would look almost the same to the current design.

Reports have also suggested Apple’s move on from Intel chips emerged in the year 2018. Apple made it official at WWDC 2020 in the month of June. It said that transition to Apple Silicon will start later this year.

Apple also started a Universal App Quick Start Programme for helping developers switch to its native silicon ahead of the debut of the first new hardware. The transition will complete in about two years as said by the company at the WWDC virtual event.

Apple is also developing macOS Big Sur as the next-generation Mac operating system which will start rolling out following the event on 10th November. The new OS has a list of changes to offer an experience which is in line with iOS and iPadOS.

We all have to wait till next week to see what Apple has in store for its customers at the fourth big event of the year.
