Nintendo switch

XDA members Langer Hans and Bylaws have successfully ported LineageOS 15.1 to run on Nintendo Switch via an SD card. For now, the OS can be boot on variants sold before July 2018.

LineageOS 15.1 enables basic Android features, supports Google services and Nvidia Shield applications, which let users play games like Half-Life and Portal. Users who are a part of the beta, can also use GeForce Now which supports cloud based gaming.

The Joy Con and the controllers work smoothly, support audio and it also does not touch main OS installed in the system. Installing Android will wipe all the data stored in the process and stop list of things including deep sleep, auto rotation, screen off in dock. Other cons of the process includes Charging will not be detected but consoles remain unaffected, some apps don’t handle joycon inputs, touchscreen sometimes detect touches even when finger floats over screen.

Steps to install Lineage OS in Switch via SD card are available on xdadevelopers.
