After making a comeback into the Indian smartphone market last year, Micromax is all set to release the next smartphone Micromax In 1 on March 19. However, the specifications of the device have surfaced online ahead of the launch.

A tipster, who goes by the name Tushar Mehta, has leaked the spec list of the upcoming Micromax In 1 on his Twitter handle.

As per the leak, Micromax In 1 could be powered by MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The device is expected to run on Micromax’s near-stock UI, like other Micromax devices.

The Micromax In 1 could feature a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display. There is no information on whether it will AMOLED or IPS LCD. The display could feature a punch-hole for the front camera.

As far as the camera is concerned, the device could sport a triple-camera setup at the rear with a 48MP primary sensor and two 2MP sensors. Unfortunately, there is no wide-angle lens, which seems a deal-breaker, but, we have to wait for the official confirmation from the company. Upfront, an 8MP selfie shooter is placed inside the punch-hole.

The leaks suggest that the smartphone could carry a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. It also features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The specifications suggest that Micromax In 1 will target the budget segment of the Indian smartphone market. The upcoming smartphone is expected to borrow the features from the Micromax In Note 1 and In 1b and the In 1 falls somewhere in between the previous generation smartphones.

Micromax In 1b and In Note 1

Micromax In Note 1 starts at Rs. 10,999 and the In 1b starts at Rs. 6,999. The pricing of the In 1 is not revealed as of now, but, it is expected to be priced below Rs 15,000 mark.

Micromax CEO Rahul Sharma, shared a video a few weeks back, where he stated that Micromax is planning to launch 5G devices, earphones, and TWS in India. He also stated that Micromax has 4 to 5 smartphones to launch in the coming months. It will be interesting to see how the “Made in India” tech firm competes with the China-dominated Indian smartphone market.
