After unleashing the spec-giant, ASUS is developing the next generation of flagship ZenFone series, i.e., the ZenFone 8 series, which will be the successor to last year’s ZenFone 7 series. Certain specifications of the upcoming ZenFone 8 series have surfaced online that reveal Snapdragon 888 chipset.

A tipster, who goes by the name Abhishek Yadav, took to his Twitter account and shared the specifications of the upcoming ZenFone 8 series. Abhishek Yadav referred to ReaMEIZU’s tweet, which featured the specifications of upcoming ASUS smartphones.

 

As per the leaks, the ZenFone 8 series will feature at least three models. Last year’s ZenFone 7 series comprised- ZenFone 7 and ZenFone 7 Pro.

The smartphone with model number ZS590KS, codenamed “SAKE”, is assumed to be ZenFone 8. The device could be powered by a top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. The device is expected to feature a 5.9-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The leaks suggest that the smartphone could feature multiple camera modules with a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor and another Sony IMX663 sensor.

Another smartphone from ASUS, with model number ZS673KS, was also spotted by the tipster. It is speculated that this could be the ZenFone 8 Pro model. The device features Snapdragon 888 5G chipset.

The smartphone could feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate. On the imaging front, the smartphone could sport a 24MP OV24B1Q sensor at the front and it seems to feature a triple camera setup at the rear with a 64MP Sony IMX686, OM13855, and OV8856 sensors.

They suggested another ASUS smartphone with model number ZS675KW and codenamed “PICASSO”. The device could feature a similar 24MP OV24B1Q sensor at the front and a triple-camera setup at the rear with a 64MP Sony IMX686, Sony IMX363, and OV08A sensors. Other specifications of the smartphone are yet to be revealed.

Interestingly, the tipster mentioned another ASUS smartphone with the codename “VODKA”. As per the tweet, the device could be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 888 5G chipset. There has been no confirmation from ASUS regarding the upcoming ZenFone devices and these speculations should be taken with a pinch of salt.

ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro

The predecessor, ZenFone 8 series, featured the flip-camera system with triple-camera setup, similar to the previous generations, along with top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC.

ASUS’ ZenFone devices have always featured flagship features with excellent performance and the upcoming ZenFone 8 series is expected to live up to the expectations.
