Samsung smartwatches are one of the best wearable options available for Android, however, for the past few days, there have serious flaws with the Galaxy Wearable app. The app makes it possible for the watches to be usable has been broken since last week.
A thread on Samsung’s Community Forums is filled with 65 pages of user complaints about the app not working properly (via Android Police, The Verge). Specifically, the problem that appears to be causing the cacophony is the Galaxy Wearable app’s inability to let users sign in.
Not being able to log in would render users not only unable to set up new watch but also unable to download apps or watch faces, backup/restore your watch, and set up features like Samsung Pay. The bug only affects the devices that are not from Samsung, users who have LG, OnePlus, Pixel, or basically any Android device other than Samsung are finding themselves unable to log into Samsung Galaxy Wearable app. Signing in with non-Samsung devices shows a blank white screen.
Nobody can sign into their Samsung account or update apps on the Galaxy Wearable app. Thread over 42 pages already. White screen appears when signing in. Affects Samsung Gear watches https://t.co/IBmBpTq81U pic.twitter.com/0BDdzpVH3m

@samsungireland I just bought a galaxy watch and cannot sign into my Samsung account I just get a white screen. This is an issue impacting a lot of users with non Samsung phones. I only have 50% functionality on my device because of this. Is there an update coming to fix this? pic.twitter.com/xz0zeQghJM

Samsung notes on the forum post that the company is aware of the issue but does not detail an update that will be launched to fix the issue. Meanwhile, users will have to live without an account connection. Users who already have a Samsung Wearable paired to their device are adviced not to restart their device.
