Xiaomi has just announced a limited-period price drop on three of its popular budget smartphones, Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro, Xiaomi Redmi 6 and Xiaomi Redmi 6A. Last month, Xiaomi had permanently slashed prices of five of its smartphone as a celebration for the company’s 5 years operation in the country. Among the five smartphones receiving the permanent price cut were Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro, Xiaomi Redmi 6 and Xiaomi Redmi 6A. Now, Xiaomi is offering these devices for an additional discount in India. The new prices will be availed through Flipkart, Amazon, and Mi.com between 6 to 8 February.

During the price drop, the 3GB/32GB variant of the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro, which is currently available for ₹9,999, will now be available for ₹8,999. The 4GB/64GB variant, on the other hand, will be available for a discounted price of ₹10,999.

The Redmi 6 3GB/32GB variant will see a price drop of ₹500 which will make the device available for ₹8,4999. While the 2GB/32GB Redmi 6A, which is currently listed at ₹6,999 will be available for ₹6,499.

In the meantime, Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Redmi Note 7 with a 48-megapixel primary camera in India by this month. The base variant of the device is expected to be priced at ₹10,000. The Redmi Note 7 will also mark Redmi’s first smartphone after its split-off with Xiaomi as an independent brand. 

The Redmi Note 7 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 coupled with 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB of RAM, depending on the variant. The camera module at the back of device compromises of two sensors: a 48-megapixel with f/1.8 aperture coupled with a 5-megapixel for depth information. the front camera is a 13-megapixel sensor with AI features and portrait mode.

The Redmi Note 7 for India will get a revamped UI with Google Play Store while the rest of the specifications will remain the same. The Redmi Note 7 comes with 6.2-inch Full HD+ display Corning Gorilla Glass protection, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, 6GB of RAM, and a 4,000mAh battery.
