Xiaomi Redmi Note 5

During the Launch of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, the Chinese company had promised they would roll out FaceUnlock feature through future updates. 6 months on and Xiaomi have kept by their promise. Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro in February 2018 as successors to Redmi Note 4.

The company has rolled out the feature for the smartphone with MIUI 10 Global Beta version 10.8.8.2 for Redmi Note 5. The Xiaomi Note 5 Pro was the first to have the face unlock. First of all, to run the face unlock the smartphone needs to be running on MIUI 10 Global Beta version. Users then need to Go to Settings > Lock screen and password > Manage face data > enable Face Unlock.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Specifications

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Octa-core chipset. The 5.99-inch smartphone has an FHD+ display with a 2160x1080p pixel resolution and a 2.5D finish. The smartphone comes in 3 GB/4 GB RAM and 32 GB/64 GB storage. Furthermore, it runs on Android Nougat with the company’s own MIUI 9 skin on top.

Redmi Note 5 features a 12MP camera sensor on the back with an aperture of f/2.2 along with an LED flash. On the front, it has a 5MP sensor with an LED flash for taking selfies. For connectivity, the note 5 has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB. Additionally, it has a 4,000mAh non-removable battery that supports fast charging.

The Price of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 3GB/32GB is ₹9999 and the 4GB/64GB is ₹11,999 and is available in Black, Gold, Rose Gold, Blue colours across various online stores in India.
