Because of the pandemic, a large number of people are staying at home as a result of which the demand for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox has increased. Other gaming companies have also seen rising revenues and increasing demand as people are seeking distraction methods from lockdowns.

The upcoming PlayStation 5 console by Sony is all set to launch on 12th November. Experts are of the opinion that it will bring up a big battle with Xbox Series X by Microsoft whose console is also being released this year. More than $3.3 billion has been spent on the video game hardware, accessories and content.

The new consoles have been upgraded with fast loading time, improved graphics and new games. However, this time it is more expensive than PS4. The PlayStation 5 would be launched in two variants – a normal version with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive priced at around $500 and a digital-oriented version with no disk drive priced at around $400.

The console will be launched on 12th November at US, Japan, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea and a week later in other countries around the world. On the other hand, Microsoft’s Xbox Series X would be priced around $500 and would be launched on 10th November and a normal version known as Xbox Series X would be priced at around $300.
